MS Office 2007 - What's New

This course has been developed for those students who are well versed in Windows XP, and Office 2003 and would like to know what differences they may find when they upgrade to Vista and Office 2007.*

Office 2007 is a significant upgrade to the Microsoft Office Suite. Although the Office Suite programs contain the same commands as previous Suites, the organization is substantially different.

What's New 2007 is a one day course that covers some of the changes to be found in this operating system, such as the Office Button, Ribbons and other new features you will find in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will look at Vista's interface including, new searches, gadgets, the new Sidebar and many more of the new features of this new version of Microsoft Office.

Prerequisites:

Basic computer skills are necessary to complete this course. These skills include: a basic understanding of a computer's operating system, the ability to navigate the environment using a mouse and keyboard, an understanding of computer file storage, launching an application, creating and saving files, and copying files from CDs and other media. It is also recommended that students are also familiar with using the internet.

*This course will only cover the new features to be discovered in Office 2007.
It is not designed to teach the basic principles of these programs.
