Microsoft Project 2007

This course is designed for those who will use Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 as a tool to aide in managing projects.

The topics in this course cover the critical skills necessary to create and modify a project plan file that contains tasks, resources, and resource assignments. You will build upon that knowledge and have the opportunity to work with a project plan once it has entered the project implementation phase.

In this course, you will:

  • create a project plan containing tasks.
  • organize these tasks in a work breakdown structure containing task relationships.
  • create and assign resources.
  • finalize the project to implement the project plan.

    Prerequisites: This course is designed for beginner Microsoft Office users.

    Basic computer skills are necessary to complete this course. These skills include: a basic understanding of a computer's operating system, the ability to navigate the environment using a mouse and keyboard, an understanding of computer file storage, launching an application, and creating and saving files. It is also recommended that students are also familiar with using the internet.
